Wheeled four-stroke trimmer 5 hp, line SKY-54

The wheeled four-stroke trimmer, 5 hp, with a line head is designed for large plots and uncultivated ground.

It lets you mow without fatigue. The wheels carry the tool, so the operator only steers it. 5 hp is enough for tall grass, heavy weeds and young growth.

GIGANT SKY-54 is a wheeled trimmer that turns mowing large areas from hard work into a walk. Unlike a conventional brush cutter, the load is taken by two sturdy wheels instead of your shoulders and back. All you do is walk and pull the trimmer along. Why this is convenient:

• No shoulder harness needed - the machine rolls itself.
• Large wheels - it mows where a lawn mower cannot go.
• 5 hp from a four-stroke engine - enough for uncultivated ground, dry stalks and thickets.
• Runs on straight unleaded petrol - no oil mixing.
• Quieter and more economical than two-stroke equivalents.
• Cuts with the standard GIGANT SKY-54 line (thick and wear-resistant).

For plots from 1,000 m² up to several hectares. For grass above knee height, weeds, nettles and light brush.

Warning. Make sure the mowing area is free of stones, sticks, wire and other objects that could damage the trimmer or the engine. Such objects can be thrown by the trimmer in any direction and cause serious injury to the operator or to bystanders. Do not mow on excessively steep slopes. If it is hard to keep your footing on a slope, do not work there. Do not mow on slopes when the ground is slippery or wet. Mow across the slope, not up and down it. During operation, never let the trimmer spindle touch concrete, asphalt or gravel surfaces. This leads to premature wear.

Note: this spool is not serviceable. The spool is one-piece and cannot be taken apart. To load the line, nothing has to be unscrewed - simply thread the cord through the holes. The design has no springs and no internal parts to fail. If it is mechanically damaged (cracked or split), the spool is replaced as a whole: undo 2 bolts, take the old one off and fit a new one. The spool cannot be repaired.

Only the line is included; there is no blade. This is a deliberate design decision. A wheeled trimmer cuts below the level of the wheel axle, so a blade would dig into the ground, catch stones and shatter. A line is safe - when it hits a stone it simply wears thin or breaks; it is gentler on the trimmer, as the shock load on the shaft is lower, and it costs less to run. If you need to cut brush, fit a thicker line (up to 4 mm). It cuts branches almost like a blade, but without the risk of breakage. One thing to note: line wears down fairly quickly on tough stems.
