Description
The GIGANT GC-0072 bit set for hinged joints, 12 mm shank, is designed for hinged slat joints. The bits in the set are used to make decorative partitions, louvers and hinged lids for furniture drawers.
The set contains 4 bits:
- The edge bit cuts the rough groove along the edge of the slat.
- The groove bit finishes the profile of the hinge groove.
- One shaped edge bit rounds the chamfers and machines the edge of the slat on the groove side.
- The other shaped edge bit forms the shaped tenon.
Profiling is done in two passes. Shank diameter 12 mm. The bits are made from high-quality materials and have precisely calculated cutting edge geometry, diamond-ground to a runout of 0.02 mm. The carbide structure keeps the cutting edges highly resistant to chipping and therefore preserves the quality of the machined part.
