Oscillating spindle and belt sander OSBSJ-450

The GIGANT OSBSJ-450 oscillating spindle and belt sander is used in one-off and small-batch woodworking. The machine is intended for finish sanding of curved and straight surfaces, edges and chamfers on wooden workpieces by combined rotary and oscillating movement of the abrasive belt or sleeve. The diameter of the abrasive sleeve (13, 19, 26, 38, 51 mm) is chosen according to the curvature of the surface being worked. Tooling with this kind of working surface is highly effective because of the oscillation - the vertical travel of the spindle - which increases the linear speed of the abrasive and prevents lengthwise scratches caused by defects in the tooling.

The belt unit has two idler rollers of different diameters for working around concave surfaces, and a straight section with a metal backing plate for flat wooden parts. The belt also runs with oscillation, which improves output and sanding quality. The compact size and low weight make the machine easy to site, store and transport. The base holds cradles for all the tooling.
